Science Showoff

It’s back, and it’s by the beach! Museums Showoff kicks of the autumn season in Brighton.

The gig is on September 20th, upstairs at Temple Bar, 121 Western Road, Brighton BN12AD. Doors are at 7pm. Entry is free, but we will be collecting for Sussex Beacon, who provide care and support for people with HIV/AIDS related illnesses. We suggest a donation of £5 each.

Amongst those showing us why they love museums and sharing gossip, intrigue and insights are:

Celine West – In 1938 British archaeologist JL Starkey was murdered on his way to the opening of the Rockefeller Museum in Jerusalem: a story of treasure, intrigue, and violence, surely? I’ll be talking about what I imagined when I heard about this event, the story I wanted to write and what actually happened.
